Night Shield Entertainment began as a dream for Gabriel Night Shield, now it is a reality. After graduating from high school in 1997 Night Shield attended The Art Institute Of Seattle where he received his degree in Audio Production. While at the Art Institute, Night Shield made contacts in the music business with several of Seattle's underground rap artists. It was at this time that he discovered his talent for writing lyrical gems and recorded several songs in different genres of music. His most successful project was a demo highlighting Night Shield's rapping ability. In 1999 Night Shield returned to the reservation to begin chasing his dream. Now in 2003 Night Shield Entertainment is a reality and the label has two album releases under its belt. It's debut project, The Nation featuring Night Shield and a collective of other artists from all across globe. The second album The Hostile Takeover, which was released on July of 2002, features 18 new tracks from the NS Ent. Camp. Album number 3, "The Savage Alliance" hits stores on July 15th 2003, With the aide of Wizi Garriott, Anthony Bordeaux, Trever Andrews, David Lee and Tanya Night Shield, Gabriel hopes to become not only the top label in Native circles but in mainstream music all together.
Night Shield Entertainment is currently working on solo albums from Cin'atra and Night Shield.
Night Shield Entertainment is quickly proving to be a force to be reckoned with in not only Native Hip Hop but underground hip hop altogether. Watch for this young label because they have just begun to begin.
